Kuck Invited to Collegiate Showcase

Former Nebraska-Kearney safety Sam Kuck will attend the 2nd Annual BSN (Beyond Sports Network) Collegiate Showcase March 8-10 in Akron, Ohio.

The event will be held inside the Stile Athletic Field House and allows scouts from several professional leagues (NFL, CFl, AFL) to evaluate players from the FCS, Division II, Division II and NAIA levels.

Around 70 players will participate in a scouting combine, position drills, 1-on-1’s, 7-on-7, and an All Star Game.

“We’re excited about the second BSN Collegiate Showcase and after seeing our participants sign with five plus leagues the athletes coming to Akron in 2013 have a lot to look forward to,” said Beyond Sports Network CEO, Jimmy Kibble. “This event promises a true showcase for the invited athletes and one last chance to display their football skills to every professional football league.”

At this time, Kuck (Central City) joins defensive backs Marquies Richardson (Fort Hays State) and Chris Muhammad (Southwest Baptist), and linebacker Jameson Manuma (Southwest Baptist), as the MIAA players headed to Ohio.

Also attending will be defensive back Nick Carlson from Midland University and Morningside College’s Colby Henderson (Wakefield), who spent the 2009 season at UNK.

A three-year starter at free safety, Kuck finished his UNK career with 254 tackles and 10 interceptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns.
