Hurricane the cause for higher gas prices
Posted: 09/14/12 08:20 This week prices at the pump rose 22 cents from one month ago. Rose White with AAA Nebraska says Hurricane Isaac, which hit the Gulf Coast 10 days ago was the main factor in the skyrocketing prices. White says when plants in the Gulf shutdown, and production is temporarily halted, consumers will often see a two week lag from the shortage of supplies. White says within the next couple of days prices will begin to fall again. Gas prices across the state are averaging $3.92 a gallon. |
