Changes to Cottonwood festival proposed

Changes to the Cottonwood Festival could be coming as a newly formed planning committee is trying to find what the community done wants with this festival of music and art. City Administrator Joe Patterson told the council during a discussion on alcohol permits in park, that the entire idea of this summer tradition may change to a different season. Patterson says downtown is just a potential starting point for the festival. The longtime summer tradition of Cottonwood, at Brickyard Park took a year off, as attendance had been decreasing.
