Omaha attorney announces Senate run|
Political newcomer and Omaha trial attorney Bart McLeay is running for the U.S. Senate seat Mike Johanns will vacate next year. McLeay is a litigation partner at a national business law firm, based in Omaha. That brings the candidates up to two as, only former State Treasurer Shane Osborn, a Republican, is formally in the race. Midland University President Ben Sasse is in the midst of a “listening tour” while considering a bid. All those names are Republicans, so far no democrats have entered the race.
