Years of study and research were broken down into a 3 hour presentation yesterday morning. As the board of public works and concerned citizens were given a first hand look at chemicals like nitrates that could soon effect the Hastings groundwater. Options were unveiled yesterday by HDR, on ways the city of Hastings can deal with the problem, now according to Marv Schultles the director of HU itís only a matter of what options they take, and when. Due to the cost of these solutions water rates will likely go up, again, how much and how soon depends.
