Sandhill Crane migration nears for Central Nebraska|
Half a million Sandhill cranes migrate through Nebraska every year. Their spring trek usually begins around Valentine’s Day. And bird enthusiasts from around the world make their own migration to see the cranes. Many of them head to Rowe Sanctuary near Gibbon… and they’re busy preparing. There are a lot of activities and classes during the crane season, including a blind tour. This March Audobon’s Rowe Sanctuary is also celebrating its 40th anniversary of conservation work on the Platte. For more information on events at Rowe Santuary, you can visit their facebook page.
