Flooding to worsen on South Platte River|

Flooding along the South Platte River in western Nebraska had initially caused little damage, but the river continues to rise as Colorado floodwaters arrive.
Officials said the South Platte was extremely full at Ogallala Thursday morning, but hadn't yet overflowed.
Drivers can not get off I-80 at the Big Springs exit as it is closed to traffic. Nebraska U-S Senator Mike Johanns has been in contact with NEMA and other agencies and is monitoring the situation. The chance of flooding will continue over the next few days along the South Platte and eventually the Platte River to the east.
